Orphanage – Hope Foundation: 1998
Orphanage composed of two buildings, a refectory and a dormitory to accommodate 50 children of 10 years of age or less. These buildings were built on raised concrete slabs to allow for drainage during the rainy season. The DC BUILDING SYSTEM was used to build the external and internal walls. The finish of the walls is in PVC. These buildings resist well to typhoons that are frequent in the region. The window shutters of the walls and at roof level allow for excellent ventilation.
